Fortuna Chinchirorin

WagerSet buy-in, 100,000 – 1,000,000 gil

Three dice, three tries. Each roll of /random 6 is one die, and three dice make a hand. The best hand at the table takes the pot.

HandScore
4, 5, 6 in that orderHard 456. Wins the pot on the spot
4, 5, 6 in any other orderSoft 456. Ranks level with triple 6s
Three of a kindTriplet. Higher beats lower; triple 6s tie a soft 456
A pair and one odd dieScores the odd die, 1 to 6
1, 2, 3 in any orderOut of the pot immediately
Anything elseNo score. Roll a new hand

Setting the order

  1. Everyone at the table rolls /random 99.
  2. Play goes from the highest roll to the lowest. Players who tie reroll against each other to settle their spot.

Your turn

  1. Roll /random 6 three times. Those three numbers, in the order rolled, are your hand.
  2. If the hand scores, your turn ends and that score stands. You can’t roll again to improve it.
  3. If it doesn’t score, roll a new hand. You get three hands in total.
  4. No score after three hands, or a 1-2-3 at any point, and you’re out of this pot.

Winning the pot

  1. Once everyone has taken their turn, the highest score wins.
  2. A hard 456 ends the round the moment it lands. Anyone who hasn’t rolled yet doesn’t get a turn.
  3. If every player ahead of you is out, you win by default without rolling.
  4. Tied scores: the tied players roll a fresh hand each until one beats the other, or they can agree to split the pot evenly.

Rolls that don’t count

  1. Any roll other than /random 6 during a turn, or any roll made out of turn, is ignored. Roll it again properly.

Examples

A normal round
  • Player A 2 5 1 hand 1 · no score
  • Player A 3 5 3 hand 2 · pair of 3s, scores 5
  • Player B 1 3 2 hand 1 · 1-2-3, out
  • Player C 6 6 2 hand 1 · pair of 6s, scores 2

Player A’s 5 beats Player C’s 2. Player A takes the pot.

Hard 456
  • Player A 5 5 5 hand 1 · triplet
  • Player B 4 5 6 hand 1 · in order, hard 456

Player B wins on the spot. Player C never rolls.

A tie
  • Player A 4 4 6 scores 6
  • Player B 2 6 2 scores 6
  • Player A 3 1 3 tiebreak · scores 1
  • Player B 5 2 5 tiebreak · scores 2

Player B wins the tiebreak. They could also have agreed to split the pot instead.

Six Chambers

An elimination game. Everyone takes turns on the same six-sided roll, and a 1 puts you out.

  1. Everyone rolls /random 99. Play goes from the highest roll to the lowest. Ties reroll.
  2. In that order, each player rolls /random 6.
  3. Roll a 1 and you’re eliminated. Anything else, and the turn passes to the next player still in.
  4. Play keeps going around the table until one player is left. They claim the pot.

Examples

Three players
  • Player A 4 safe
  • Player B 1 eliminated
  • Player C 6 safe
  • Player A 3 safe
  • Player C 1 eliminated

Deathroll

WagerTournaments: set buy-in · 1v1: players’ choice

Fortuna runs deathroll tournaments at a buy-in announced ahead of time. The house never plays a 1v1 deathroll itself.

How it’s played

  1. Both players type /random. The higher roll picks whether to go first or second. Ties reroll.
  2. The first player rolls /random 999.
  3. The next player rolls /random with the number just rolled. If the last roll was 480, they type /random 480.
  4. Keep trading rolls, each one capped by the last. Whoever rolls a 1 loses.

Tournament speed rounds

  1. When a tournament has a lot of players, we may switch to high/low to keep things moving.
  2. The first player listed in the bracket calls “high” or “low”.
  3. Both players roll /random once. The highest roll wins on a high call, the lowest on a low call. Ties reroll.

1v1s on the premises

Players are welcome to deathroll each other at the café. Staff will hold the pot as a middleman, and for these 1v1s only the house takes no cut. Anyone caught scamming is banned from Café Fortuna.

Examples

Standard deathroll
  • Player A 612 opening roll
  • Player B 305 opening roll · A chooses to go first
  • Player A 480 /random 999
  • Player B 77 /random 480
  • Player A 51 /random 77
  • Player B 9 /random 51
  • Player A 1 /random 9

Player A rolls a 1 and loses. Player B takes the pot.

Speed round
  • Player A Low first in bracket, makes the call
  • Player A 214
  • Player B 388

Low was called, so Player A’s 214 wins and they advance.
